Terms and Conditions

Version 2024.01.12.09.52

ONLINE TRAINING

These terms and conditions apply specifically to First Aid & CPR Training and its website, accessible at https://firstaidcprcourse.com/. All content on the website is the exclusive property of First Aid & CPR Training, with all rights strictly reserved. The content of this site is specifically designed for education and training purposes, aiming to teach skills in accordance with national guidelines for medical first aid, trauma care, and resuscitation.

It is important to note that the content of this site is developed based on various sources accessible to the general public as well as healthcare professionals. First Aid & CPR Training has made reasonable and good-faith efforts to ensure the accuracy and validity of the educational material on the site. However, users are encouraged to consult additional sources, particularly healthcare professionals, to validate the application of the knowledge conveyed. These terms and conditions are intended to clearly define the rights and responsibilities of users and First Aid & CPR Training in the context of the online training offered.

It is imperative to emphasize that the techniques taught by the Organization must never be attempted or practiced on individuals who do not require them. Such actions, when unnecessary, could result in serious injury or even death. Traumatic first aid procedures must be reserved for persons in need and should preferably be performed under the supervision of a licensed professional.

First Aid & CPR Training disclaims all liability for losses or damages, whether contractual or tortious, under local, provincial, or federal laws, arising from the use of or reliance on the educational material, which is used at your own risk. Although the Organization has implemented safety protocols in accordance with the most current standards and digital tools to facilitate learning, it cannot guarantee that candidates have completed their training in full compliance with these terms and conditions.

All information associated with a user account, including email address, username, and password, is considered strictly personal. It is essential to emphasize that any misuse of this data may result in the revocation of a certification issued by our institution. We pay particular attention to the confidentiality of this information, in strict compliance with the most rigorous security standards. This is intended to ensure the integrity of users' personal data and to preserve the validity of any certification obtained within our institution.

It should be noted that no changes to the first and last name on a certificate can be made from the user account. Consequently, only the name of the profile holder will appear on any certificate issued under that profile. This measure reinforces the accuracy and legitimacy of the certifications issued, thereby ensuring the credibility of the entire certification process on our platform.

The candidate's responsibility includes taking the necessary measures to ensure full comprehension of the training course(s) completed. In the event of confirmed or suspected non-compliance with the terms and conditions, the Organization reserves the right to revoke the candidate's certificate without prior notice, or to require the complete retaking of the training. If the candidate refuses to retake the training as requested, the Organization reserves the right to revoke the certificate without prior notice and without entitlement to a refund.

First aid educational material should not be the sole source of information during a first aid intervention; a second opinion should be sought. Before taking any action that could result in injury, damage, or even death, it is imperative to call 911 and follow the instructions of the emergency medical dispatcher.

The certificate of achievement attests that the candidate has successfully completed all modules of the training course(s) passed. The role of First Aid & CPR Training is to educate the candidate in accordance with the most recent scientific guidelines, making reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and validity of the material, in compliance with national first aid requirements.

CPR instructions, with or without an AED, airway clearance, and medical and traumatic first aid instructions must not be viewed or practiced by individuals who do not fully understand the content and its potential consequences.

First Aid & CPR Training and all persons and entities involved in the creation, production, and distribution of its website and educational material are not affiliated with organizations such as the American and Canadian Red Cross, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. John Ambulance, or any other organization.

The printed certificate may differ from the image displayed on the website and is intended to attest that, to the best of the purchaser's knowledge, the purchaser has successfully completed one or more online training courses from First Aid & CPR Training. The Academy has made reasonable and good-faith efforts to ensure that the candidate has earned their certification legally and honestly, without any act of cheating.

The candidate will be able to administer CPR, with or without an AED, airway clearance, and medical and traumatic first aid in a real emergency in accordance with the certification obtained. However, the Organization does not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, that its certification will comply with the requirements or standards of the user or third parties. The client is solely responsible for compliance with the requirements and regulations of their employer.

A detailed course outline is available for each training course designed for this purpose. If an employer requires a practical examination, it is the candidate's responsibility to contact a representative of First Aid & CPR Training to arrange the examination via video conference.

As part of our commitment to the quality and integrity of our certifications, First Aid & CPR Training reserves the right to make random telephone calls to holders of certifications issued by our institution. The purpose of this process is to verify the legitimacy of the certifications awarded and to maintain the high standards of our programs. In the event of non-cooperation or contradictory information, First Aid & CPR Training reserves the right to take the necessary actions, including the cancellation of the certification in question.

As part of our commitment to the quality and integrity of our certifications, First Aid & CPR Training reserves the right to communicate with its clients by mail. This method of communication may be used to send important notices, updates, or verification requests regarding certifications issued by our institution. We encourage our clients to respond promptly to any correspondence received in order to ensure the continued validity of their certification.
